Day 4

Today was a quiet, relaxing day at Kailua Beach. We had beautiful weather and took full advantage by sitting on the beach all day!!

Day 3

Today we spent the day at Waikiki Beach again. Hawaii is so bizarre- we are staying in Kailua which is 20 minutes from Honolulu. This morning it was cold in rainy so we decided to go to Pearl Harbor As we crossed through the tunnel and came out on the other side of the mountain...guess what- it was hot and sunny so....detour to the beach!

Lunch at the beach. We are enjoying a "Lave Flow" a Pina Colada and Strawberry mix. (Don't worry- Amanda's is alcohol free!)

For all you people back home that asked me to "kiss the belly" for them... I will not be doing that, so I touched it instead!

This picture is for Mike...here is the proof that your wife was wearing sunblock and that I took the responsibility of her applying it to herself away from her. I am happy to announce that Ali did not get the usual hand print smear sunburn today!!!

Day 2

Today was a slow day....overcast and we were veerry tired! Unfortunately our day began at 3am- we haven't quite adjusted to the time difference.

Day 1

Aloha!

It was a rough day of travel, but we finally made it! The day started with our detour through Newark, NJ at 5am this morning, thank you Mapquest for your awful directions. But thankfully Mike, Jeff and the nice cop in the upscale NJ neighborhood helped us navigate our way to the airport.

T-Minus 9 Days!

Test, test, test!! Welcome to my first blog. As you all may or may not know, Ali and I will be leaving for Hawaii in 9 days! I have set up this website so that our friends and family back home can follow our trip.

We are very excited because....!

1. This is our first trip to Hawaii


2. We will be visiting Amanda, who we haven't seen in almost a year


3. And for the 2 week vacation from work and NY winters of course!
